The Halloween atmosphere in Paris
I’m Amine, and I organise pub crawls in Paris. Halloween is a fun night for meeting people because a costume gives strangers an easy conversation starter. But you do not need an elaborate outfit to enjoy yourself, and you should not assume that every bar or club will have the same Halloween programme.
Before choosing a party, check what the ticket actually includes, where the group meets and whether the final venue has a dress code. For my pub crawl, guests should be 18 or older and bring valid physical ID. Drinks are not automatically included. At participating bars, the promotional shot is linked to buying your first alcoholic drink; it does not apply to soft drinks, and there is no included shot at the club. Details can change, so use the information on the booking page for your date.
A few details make a difference
If you are visiting Paris, plan your journey home before the night begins and keep your phone charged. Halloween can be lively, but the best evening is still one where you feel comfortable, know the plan and can enjoy the people around you.
When I help guests prepare, I tell them to think about the full route: getting to the meeting point, walking between stops and leaving at the end. A costume that looks great in a photo but makes walking uncomfortable can become a nuisance after a few hours. The same goes for a heavy bag or shoes you have never worn before. Keep your outfit practical and bring only what you need.
Choose what suits you
You also do not have to match the energy of the loudest person in the room. Some guests come mainly to dance, others want to talk and some are happy to experience the city with a group. Decide what a good night means for you, then choose an event that fits. That is more useful than expecting Paris to deliver one universal Halloween experience.
