Who joins our Paris pub crawl alone?
Around 70% of our guests join by themselves. People often assume pub crawls are mostly groups of friends, but that is rarely the case. Every night is different, and the atmosphere is defined by respect and friendliness rather than by the number of men or women.
Our event is not speed dating. It is a social night where travellers can discover Paris nightlife, share drinks and meet people naturally. The average guest is usually between 23 and 35, although we regularly welcome many other age groups.

What do solo travellers ask before the pub crawl?
The most common message we receive is: “I’m going to be 10 or 15 minutes late.” That is usually not a problem. We stay at the first bar for about an hour because dinner, sunsets, wrong turns and metro delays are part of travelling in Paris.
Guests also ask how to get home safely. We explain that the route is in central Paris, where they can usually walk nearby, take one of the last metro trains, use night buses or order an Uber. Helping guests feel safe matters as much as helping them have fun.
The biggest misconception about pub crawls
Some people think a pub crawl is an easy way for men to meet women. It is not. One guest once arrived with exactly that mindset; I politely offered him a refund and joked that Tinder Premium might suit him better.
The evening is about friendships, shared experiences and Paris nightlife—not treating other guests like a speed-dating audience. Respect always comes first.
What actually happens during the first hour?
The first hour is the most important part of the night. While guests enjoy a first drink and complimentary shot, our guides check everyone in, stay in contact with late arrivals and introduce newcomers to people they have never met.
Many solo travellers arrive looking at their phones and quietly sipping a drink. Then someone notices the wristband and asks, “Are you with the pub crawl?” That is often all it takes. Smaller groups may use icebreakers; large groups usually start talking naturally. By the third bar, even shy guests often know almost everyone.
The biggest mistakes we see every week
Your guide is there to organise the evening and help keep the group safe. They are not a personal assistant, drinking partner or miracle worker. Do not ask where to buy drugs; the answer will always be no.
If a club bouncer refuses entry because someone has had too much to drink, arguing will not help. Stay respectful. We also remind guests to close their bags, watch for pickpockets and consider going to sleep instead of losing an entire day in Paris to a hangover.
Stories we will never forget
One night, several Belgian guests drank extremely heavily at the first bar and were asleep on the pavement by the third venue. Our priority was getting them home safely, so we called an Uber and made sure they reached their Airbnb. Please do not try to beat that record.
A happier story began when a Colombian woman and a German man both joined alone. They met during the pub crawl and are still together. Two years later, they returned for Halloween and messaged us on Instagram.
After many events, strangers exchange Instagram accounts, create WhatsApp groups, explore Paris together the next day and sometimes invite the guides. Watching genuine friendships form in a few hours never gets old.
Why do people come back?
Guests often tell us the experience does not feel like a commercial tour; it feels like an evening with friends. By the end of the first bar, most people have spoken with several others, and by the end of the night many are planning the next day together.
Some guests book again instead of trying another pub crawl. Safety remains our first priority whenever someone loses friends, feels unwell or needs help getting home. We also never pressure guests to review us while they have been drinking; honest feedback after the event helps us improve.

If you feel nervous, remember that around 70% of the people you will meet are in the same situation. They are travellers who want to meet people and enjoy Paris.
